NEW WEBSITE REVAMP!
Site news, by Dr. Cossack on 30 May 2001 at 0:00

You probably noticed already that something has changed hey? I got rid of the frames! All the pages are mostly the same, besides the fact that the frames are gone. This means that you don't need to scroll 2 pages to see everything, only one! I also put some live on the left menu (just move your mouse over a menu item to see... :-) ) Finally, I changed the Babbling Cossack head with the 32-bit version, from Rockman 5 PSX.

New faxes at Capcom Japan!
Site news, by Dr. Cossack on 29 May 2001 at 0:00

On Capcom Japan website, you can see some new faxes related to the upcoming Mega Man games. For those who don't know what they are, the faxes are some kind of a newsletter about the upcoming Capcom games in Japan.

The first fax is about Mega Man Battle Network. You can see some of the new robot masters in their EXE form: at the bottom of the page, from the left to the right, you have Magic Man, Pharaoh Man and Shadow Man. You can probably recognize the character in the middle at the right easily: yes, Dr. Wily, EXE version... He looks great to me :-) Click here to view the fax.

The second one is about the upcoming Mega Man Xtreme 2. You can see X and Zero fighting Wire Sponge, Flame Mammoth, Overdrive Ostrich and Launch Octopus. You also get the see bigger pics of the main characters. Who can you see, at the left? Yes, it is Iris! Since Xtreme 2 happens between X3 and X4, Iris is alive and doing well! You can notice she has the Repliforce symbol on her chest. Might the whole Repliforce be in that game too? That would be interesting... Click here to view this one.

New poll
Ok, I said the results would be up for one week, but I ran out of ideas to install a new poll ;-) The new poll is simple (as usual): Which message board would be the best? I don't if I should keep the current board (the Discus board), or install a brand new Ikonboard. The current board is simple to use, you don't need to register and is loading quickly; but the Ikonboard has many more features, like profiles and avatars. It's your decision! Cast your vote today!

Dr. Cossack presents...
Site news, by Dr. Cossack on 28 May 2001 at 0:00

... the complete soundtrack for Rockman 6 PSX! Those files took me forever to rip and upload, I hope you enjoy them! You can get the Rockman 6 PSX files from the Music section. Note that these files won't be there forever, because the space on my server is limited... Don't be afraid tho: the files will stay there for at least a month.

10 000 hits!
This morning, I finally got my 10 000th hit! Thank you everyone for your support! You rule people!

Status of my projects
Projects, by Dr. Cossack on 23 May 2001 at 0:00

Many of you are wondering what is the current status of all those projects I'm wanting to complete, so here is the current work being done everywhere.

Website: I'm going to add a few reviews soon, and more MP3s in the MP3 section.

Mega Man 5 for PC: I didn't do anything on this one lately, sorry. I'll probably put more time soon on the level editor, allowing me to create the levels to play in the game.

Rockboard translation: Now this is going somewhere. I'm currently translating the Met Race. Soon, this should be done and I'll go to translate the different endings. Expect a new patch to download soon.

MegaBomber: The programming on the game itself didn't began yet, but I'm working into another program called "Cossack Chat". This is a chat program for Windows, to chat with anyone that you want (you need to know the IP address of the other person to do it). This chat program, once working without errors, will become the basic programming for MegaBomber. It will be used to connect and start a game with your friends.

More progress as the summer continues... Hey, I left school not even one week ago!

E3 Expo Day 2
Misc Mega Man, by Dr. Cossack on 18 May 2001 at 0:00

End of school!
Yes, my classes are over! Now, I have 3 full months to do more progress on all those projects I'm trying to do. Doesn't that makes you happy? This means that you can expect more updates in the next weeks.

More X6 news
That Mega Man X6 is looking more and more interesting... GameSpot made a preview of the game, with the current information. Here are the main details:

"Due to strong consumer demand, Capcom has decided to continue the Mega Man X series." - Wasn't Mega Man 9 the biggest asking from fans? Hmm...

"Mega Man X6 takes place three weeks after Hunter Zero gave his life to save planet Earth from the crashing space colony at the end of Mega Man X5. The world is now a wasteland, and humankind has employed reploids to rebuild it. What looks like a smooth transition, however, is disrupted when Alia alerts Mega Man that a gigantic reploid has gone on a rampage, thus beginning his adventure." - Yes, three weeks only. Usually, there are a couple of months between the games... And Alia is still around. Let's hope there's an option in the game called: "Shut up Alia" :-P

"The game will utilize a "nightmare system," which, in effect, causes the player's actions in previous stages to impact events in future stages. Alternate paths, for example, could open up, and so could traps, new enemies, and the like. Each of the game's stages will also be randomized in terms of layout and enemy placement, ensuring a relatively unique experience each time the game is played. Scattered throughout the stages will also be friendly reploids, which will grant players power-ups when they are picked-up." Sounds fun, no?

E3 isn't over yet!

Mega Man X6 is scheduled for November 2001, Mega Man Battle Network will be out of the September 2, 2001 and Mega Man Xtreme 2 is set for a September release as well. I also made some updates on the Mega Man Battle Network page, but it's still uncomplete. More to come soon.

New Fan Art section! New games too!
Site news, by Dr. Cossack on 15 May 2001 at 0:00

I was submitted a couple of pictures, so I openned a Fan Art section. There's currently 7 pictures there, made by Mega Man Ultama and Jonathan. If you want to see your work on display, drop me an e-mail!

Mega Man X6, Battle Network, Xtreme 2...
... all confirmed, officially, by Capcom themselves! Check out the page Capcom made about their E3 line-up! You get to see pictures and download vidéos from those 3 games. I'll add that information on the website in the next few days (I'm still in my final exams).

Old and new stuff
Site news, by Dr. Cossack on 11 May 2001 at 0:00

Old Updates Archive
If you scroll completely at the bottom of this page, you'll notice a new link: Old Updates. This will bring you to a page where you can view all of the news and updates I did in the past.

New release dates
I updated the Release Dates page with all the current information. I was silly enough to post about the Mega Man Legends for PC release a while ago, but I forgot to change it's date... This much-delayed game is supposed to come out on the May 15, 2001. 4 days to go...

Rockboard translation status
I know that many of you are awaiting for this translation... I updated the Rockboard page to show the current status. I estimate that 8% of the translation is done so far. Expect a lot more work on this soon.

A bit late, but...
Site news, by Dr. Cossack on 7 May 2001 at 0:00

My apologies for the late news. I updated the website yesterday, but I ran out of time to post what changed...

New Downloads section
Yesterday was the first anniversary of the Mega Man PC Website. The 6th May 2000 was the first day when I began to really work on this website. Thank you all for your support! As a little "gift", I added a new Downloads section. So far, it has a few wallpapers and the infamous Wily Tower Save State. You came here seeking the save stage? Get it now!

Slow updates
I'm sorry if I'm not updating really often these days. The end of my classes at College is coming soon, so I have to study for all those tests. I'll be free starting on the May 18th, on the evening, so expect to see a lot more work after that!

Poll results
As you can see at the top of this page, I closed the poll. MegaBomber clearly won the vote, so it will be the next project to be added to my already long "projects list". I'll put up a new poll in one week.

X6 is for real
X Series, by Dr. Cossack on 2 May 2001 at 0:00

It has been confirmed by Capcom yesterday that Mega Man X6 will be shown at the E3 Expo this year. Capcom never replied to my own letter, but Bolt Kraken got his answer... Go figure.
