Pit is the main character in a game called Kid Icarus, which was essentially a sister game to Metroid in the NES era (if I recall correctly).

Still, Icarus was released along with Metroid, and it had the same password system (plus the Metroids, natch). Thus why they're considered sister games.

I think it's REALLY random for them to have Snake in this game, but who cares? I WANT IT!!!

I hope that Uematsu drags in some FF chars... lol :hehe:

I had watched this movie several times and noticed something. Zero Samus's 'sword' seemed as she swung it, like a whip or a sword like Ivy's. As she swung it you see it in front of her *and* behind her. Look closely to see.

Oh no. Last thing we need is FF fanboys screaming how Cloud is the best in the game.

IF they put in FF characters, they oughta start with Fighter, Black Mage and the other original ones.

Nah, Zidane and the FF9 boys, man.

Their disproportionate bodies fit in well with the others in the Smash Bros. Games, IMO.

But then again Uematsu-san is only a composer. What does he care if FF characters get in? If anything, Nomura would put his foot in the door.

I do think Fighter and Black Mage would be alright inclusions, because there are no true fanboys of them I don't think. I'm sure FF obsessives would still try to pass them off as the best though.

And well, personally I don't think filling out that form would be a good idea..

But the game has recognizable characters (well, except maybe Pit). They'd want characters most of the game community would immediately know, so Fighter and Black Mage probably wouldn't make it. I mean, come on. EVERYBODY knows FFVII.

Lets just not mention FF at all, then.

true, if you want FF characters, just ask SE to make a special fighting game with FF only

Or if you want a game with characters from two, three or more game companies, ask them to collaborate and make a fighting game with Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Metal Gear Solid and Nintendo characters and more.

Nobody'll feel left out.

if one studio gets the right to use them, then they don't have to work together which might prevent MAJOR delays (LoZ anyone?)

let's just stick with one company making their own game, and if they are asked if they can put in another one from their company, they might put him or her in, like Hideo Kojima did.

speaking of him, did you know he actually SAID he would want to halt the development of MGS4 for a bit to work on a Wii game, it's true, he said it in a interview. maybe a ZoE Wii or MGS Wii? shooting with the controller (Red Steel) would really work or changin camera view?

It's funny though.
Alot of people can't stand the thought of FF being included just because of the fan boys. There are just as many fanboys for most of the characters in SuperSmash... that's the point. You can watch all these popular mascots kick the ever living snot out of each other and prove once and for all (or until next round) who's cooler. Sort of. And if you ask me, Fighter VS Mario would be hard core.

If you don't like Final Fantasy, that's fine.
But don't hate the game just because of the Fanboys.

That would be like hating Full Metal just because of the crazy fangirls who write insane Boy-on-Boy love fantasies about Ed And Mustang.

As for FF, I was just kidding about that Blue. I'd actually encourage Nintendo to get Cloud or Sephiroth. Imagine the profit..imagine the Revowii sales from mindless fanboys. It would be a good move I'd think.

I remember all th BS on how you can unlock Sonic and Knuckles in Melee. Will they be in this one?

If Nintendo goes on their bluff about having other third-party characters, then Sonic may be in it. But I think Knuckles, Shadow and Tails are a step too far.

Hollow has a point. Even though there would be alot of, "omg Speh is teh best he beats ur Cloud lol", it would have a huge spike in profit. There are alot of FF fanboys that would buy the Wii and the game just to play as them.

... I wouldn't play as them (Overused franchise.), but it would be nice to play against them. I always wanted to beat Sephiroth over the head with a Baseball Bat. >_>

But Enix....isn't beating the hell out of Seifer and ViVi with a foam bat enough? D= And if you WERE to beat Sephiroth in Smash Bros, you better have the ultra Secret Zaleon character unlocked, or else it'll be very difficult.

On a more serious note.....People seem to not bring up the Snake box anymore so I got thinking....what if the box was truly his "Sheild" for the game? I'm thinking this because Yoshi in SSBM had received a shell instead of a sheild....I'm hoping now each character gets a unique sheild....just small touches like that can help a good game seem great.

Bass would just be pushing it. At most, if any third party franchises are added, they should only get one character at best. If you put in Megaman and Bass, they'd basically just be clones of each other and that's just stupid.

Megaman, being far better than Bass ever was or will be, would be the one to go into the game of course.
