I like Mac's and I have one I liked the PC but it brakes down so many times I still have it but dont use it vary much.

I haven't used a Mac, so I can't comment on that. However, I dislike Microshit XP because of the instability of the whole thing. I would change the OS, but I spent quite a bit of money on software and Microshit gets 8/10 when it comes to compatibility (still not quite backwards compatible, but it's better than most). If only the school used Linux, I would be free!

Ok your wrong I've had a PC for as long as I can rember and got a Mac about 2 years ago and its way faster than a PC.:P

Maybe that's because your PC was clogged with spyware and crap so that's why its performance slows down.

Once the spyware crud shows up for macs... you won't be singing the same tune anymore.

Anyway, it seems to me that there's like, almost no games or freeware programs for macs. It's all "You must pay for this program to be used on the mac!" What a hassle. (The only games for mac I can think of: Games from Blizzard (obviously) and Tron 2.0 (ported from the PC version which came first.))

Not to mention that some snobbish people who use macs are all, "Our macs are better!" I sincerly hope you aren't doing that, django... because you're going to get a lot of people angry.

Will the PC does have better think for games but they brake down ALOT:mad: and my PC was new I also had this really old one to.:D

...well, it is common sense to update the drivers and everything. Also, you have to make sure the hardware parts you get for the PC is of good quality.

Seriously, you have to really think about what stuff you want in your computer. You can't just buy something that's been slapped together and not maintain it.

I'm sure that most people really don't realize it but computers aren't meant to be like a console, it requires care! (Gotta make sure the case is clean, everything is in working order, having updated drivers.)

Yes, getting new hardware for PC is expensive, but won't be necessary if you got the really good stuff first.

And if your PC breaks a lot, you're not taking good care of it. That's simple.

Even if you do take care of it, it becomes corrupt even after running scan disk.

Plain and simple Mac. Rules. and they don't cost much either. horray for apple.:D

Actually, it all depends on what you want to do with your computer. Macs are better for working, image editing and sound editing, while PCs are better for gaming, internet browsing and compability (since more ppl use PCs anyway). Personally, I prefer using PCs, even though I might be getting a Mac sometime in the future.

You idiot. You probably screwed it up by doing something the computer wasn't supposed to do. Scan disk has nothing to do with it. It could be that the HD was ALREADY faulty to begin with!

You should have your license for computing revoked. ¬_¬ A program simply does not screw up the internals of computer unless it was specifically designed to do that ie: virus, malware, trojans, worms, whatever. A normal day to day program will NOT do that!

Debating over the two stupid computing softwares gets you nowhere. They each have their own functions as Airmaster said.

Macs = shiny, artsty stuff
Windows = Everyone and their mom uses it because it's affordable and not to mention that tons of games are available for it. With macs, you really have to SEARCH.

What i meant was that a microsoft computer is only some what decent with it running linux. (i have been around computers my whole life and my uncle is a programmer and taught me everything he knows. He had eight years of college.):lol: so you tell me who is wrong about who needs thier "license" revoked. The apples are not expensive.

Apparently, you haven't been the one buying a mac. Macs are expensive if you go for something that isn't a Mac Mini. Seriously, get your facts straight if you're going to shout that Macs are teh pwn.

PS: Even though it might still run on MS-Dos, Linux isn't made by Microsoft, so it doesn't count as a "Microsoft system" once you decide to use it.

Linux has nothing to do with Microsoft. It's simply an alternative OS... like MacOS! MacOS X has a unix core (I can't remember which unix version).

All of those products are expensive for someone who's living on a limited budget. I'm not bashing Apple here. They really know how to milk money out of people who don't want to deal with windows anymore.

I remember when I was buying zip disks for a mac and they were ... 50 bucks for three a-pack. >/ (Windows version might have been the same price, but I can't be sure.) I remember my head spinning when I saw the prices on all the other mac products at the mac store.

(The reason why I was buying zip disks? The college I recently graduated from had a mac lab in the art school building. Yes, schools get a special education discount from Apple. It just sucks when you're stuck with emacs. (I've been told emacs were the worst kind of macs you could be stuck with. But maybe the person's wrong about that...))

Macs aren't even perfect, period. They're expensive (to me because I have a limited budget), I can actually break macs if I just sit in front of one (I can't explain how this happened, it just did), and I just find new ways to crash it. ><

Windows isn't perfect either but everyone knows that. HA HA HA.
